Walking Roma

I remember setting off yesterday evening to go for a midday walk in Rome’s Piazza de Popolo which translates as the people’s square.  I only wanted to go out for a brief walk to taste some traditional Italian cuisine and take pictures for my blog. Despite my intentions I have found myself encapsulated by Rome’s beauty, I kept walking and wandering around the pebbled streets. I felt like a fairytale princess lost in time, marveling at the beauty that this ancient town’s divine Renaissance architecture has to offer.

There’s a certain romance in Rome’s atmosphere that inspired me to dress up every day. So I chose to wear a black lace skirt and a satin dress with lace trim by Mademoiselle Epaulette 2014-15 Fall Winter collection and a pair of high heel sandals by asos. It was the perfect outfit for the mysterious atmosphere that was spread throughout Rome in grey clouds.

Time just evaded me and by the time I realized that the sun was setting and that dusk began to shed golden hues over the pristine Sistine Chapel, I was truly astounded by how much I was taken in with my surroundings. Sometimes we search for that perfect place and we forget that we make up the adventure ourselves, because paths are made by walking.
