Today I decided to writea motivational post for everyone who has been asking me how I manage to stay focused despite all the workload I have to deliver and be pull through different projects under demanding deadlines. So this post is for all of you compulsive multitaskers and workaholics I hope you enjoy it, most importantly though I hope you will be able to put it into practice! Here are my 10 Simple Steps for self motivation

So this post is for all of you compulsive multitaskers and workaholics I hope you enjoy it, most importantly though I hope you will be able to put it into practice! Here are my 10 Simple Steps for self motivation:

No1:
Surround yourself with positive energy:
 Ever wonder why you feel constantly drained when you are with certain people while with others you feel more energized and inspired? Our mood’s are directly affected by the people that surround us so make sure you do away with people who are judgmental and competitive. Meet new people and get together with those old warm hearted friends who are full of love and kindness.

 

No2:
Read, read, read!:
 “Self education is the only valid form of education” Isaac Asimov. Self awareness starts with a quest for knowledge. Educated women emanate confidence and self assurance. Keep in mind that learning is a lifetime process and can be achieved through various means, be it books, films, plays, travels or even conversations.

 

No3:
Reconnect with Nature: 
 Nature undeniably has the ability to reduce tension and recharge. Being close to nature and connecting with animals can help you live a stress free life. Make a habit of going for walks near a park or by the sea. Getting a pet is also a great idea but be mindful of the responsibilities that come with taking care of a furry friend.

 

No4:
Exercise:
I couldn’t possibly stress enough how important it is to look after your body. Keeping fit is not only about feeling comfortable in your own skin but it’s also about maintaining a healthy way of living. Be realistic about your schedule, if you can’t do hard core exercise then don’t. It’s more important to stick to a routine rather than going in and out. Start small, go walking or cycling with friends, be inventive and creative about it. If you are the social type then exercise with a friend, or take your yoga mattress to the beach, there a myriad ways of making exercise fun! Just use your imagination!

 

No5:
Embrace your need for Wanderlust: 
The desire to travel and explore new places is referred to as wanderlust and you might have already noticed that it’s one of my most often used words. Life is all about making memories, seize every opportunity you get to travel and expand your horizons. Change of scenery inevitably leads to change of attitude and thought.

 

No6:
Get ready for change:
Constantly question and reinvent yourself. Most people and especially women tend to define themselves by what other people think of them. You are a unique, bright and evolving individual and as such you need to be resourceful. Constantly aim to better yourself and be open to different perspectives but at the same time you need to pursue your goals with passion and strive, you need to adapt to change while maintaining your objectives.

 

No7: Be present:Ever wonder why you let those perfect opportunities just slide away? Usually the only reason is that we lack the time, energy and brevity to just step up and stand out. Make sure that you are conscious every minute of every day, you will soon find that the reality around you is constantly shifting and that there are myriads of opportunities to choose from.

 

No8:
You are what you eat:
Diet plays an immense role to the way we feel and carry ourselves. For the perfect skin and body you need to maintain a balanced diet with lots of fibers and vitamins. Green food like spinach and lettuce will give you a glowing complexion while red fruits will increase your estrogen levels and act as antioxidants purifying your system from toxins.

No 9:
Satisfy your senses:
Checked everything on the list? Time for some vanity!  You need to learn to love yourself and if you haven’t been able to achieve this so far then the best recipe is fake it till you make it. You need to groom yourself to perfection; remember that if you like what you are seeing in the mirror this will give you an automatic confidence boost. Take care of your skin, hair and body. My personal natural beauty secret is jojoba oil. It can be a little pricey but it does wonders on the skin, it has anti-aging and detoxifying properties thatwill give you that alabaster skin you have been dreaming of.

 

No10 : Time to give back:You never give without receiving something. You will find that happiness is the only thing that can grow when it is shared with others. Find ways to give back to the world, this can be in the form of small donations, volunteering or just spending time and paying attention to friends and family. Becoming the positive change and the inspiring influence you want to see in the world is the key to ultimate fulfillment.
